What is I Hardly Know Her?

IHKH is a minimalist Flickr viewer. Captions and titles are omitted and metadata is hidden until needed. Images can be made large in place.

How do I use it?

If your Flickr URL is flickr.com/photos/yourname, visit ihardlyknowher.com/yourname or click here to begin. You will be asked to authorize IHKH with Flickr. Follow the link to complete this process and your public photos will be available for anyone to view on IHKH. You can deauthorize to remove yourself at any time.

How does it work?

IHKH uses Flickr Services to retrieve lists of photos and metadata and format them for display. Images are served directly from Flickr. API responses are cached for up to an hour, so changes to a Flickr photostream may take that long to be reflected here.

How do sets work?

You can see a list of sets at ihardlyknowher.com/yourname/sets and access an individual set by adding a slash and either the set number or the name of the set (removing all non-alphanumeric characters, including punctuation and whitespace).

Does it work on iPhone?

Yes, IHKH has an optimized experience for iPhone. No additional configuration is necessary.

Can I have the source code?

No, but phpFlickr or the Flickr gem might be what you're looking for.

Who made this?

IHKH is a personal project of Justin Ouellette, photographer and creator of Muxtape. Please direct correspondance to contact@ihardlyknowher.com.

I Hardly Know Her is not endorsed or certified by Flickr.
